Uh-1 helicopter does one flyby then approaches and flies directly overhead. It kicks up some sand as it goes over and then lands on a ship, about 100 meters away. I recorded this many years ago on an imac g3 in 2008, the sound was recorded using the imac headphone jack into my desktop pc at the times audio in. I ended up doing this as my dsl went down for several days and i managed to get netzero working. I then uploaded the video to youtube where it has received over 10 million views. Https://www. This sound was recorded via the use of a behringer b2 microphone, fostex fr2 and a home made parabolic reflector made from a tv satellite dish. The source of the sound was between 100m-200m away from the microphone. This has been eq'ed with high-end shelving to reduce gain noise, low-end shelved up to 1khz (to reduce wind and background noise) and the overall gain has been increased. Sound effect - bass rumble tension rise (wind river movie). I've looked for this particular bass tension builder sound effect from the movie wind river since it came out!! if you've seen that film and you're familiar with the "standoff" scene, then you'll probably know what sound effect im referring to. . . In the background of that most intense ever scene of all time is this bass rumble or tension builder that gives me goosebumps every time i watch it! i've wanted the original pretty bad because its the best suspense builder(bass rumble) sound ive ever heard! although it doesn't seem to exist online even for purchase. So i tried to recreate it myself! im a movie scene editor all the way, but im less than amature at audio editing, so please excuse the flaws. There are 3 versions in this mp3. All with different tones, speed, and other details trying to recreate as best i could.

Just a quick recording before class today. Recorded from a tascam dr-07 mk ii stereo in mp3 192 kbps 48,000 hz, pointed a bit to the sky toward a florida mockingbird about 2 meters away. If you listen closely enough, there's some crows in the bg too. Ambiance sound is the sound of a busy divided highway about 500 meters away. I processed this sound in sony sound forge a bit to remove some of it. Just beware, the sound file contains a slight camera double beep at 9 and 15 seconds, although for student film purposes i don't see any penalty for it.
